Classic CD box sets

Posted by: T38.45 on 01 August 2013

I bought some cd box sets from living mercury, living stereo and philips last months, ripped music on my US and really enjoyed different conductors, orchestra and recording periods.

After long listening sessions ( just had a very nice eve with Schubert:-)) I would like to recommend the philips cd set- it is incredible good in terms of music, recording selections and especially in terms of sound! This is the set I would recommend to a good friend, so Naim folks you should give it a try!

....I' m dare to say that no one needs highres if  the engineer knows his job :-)

cheers

Ralf there's a new 50CD Decca set coming in September - Decca; The analogue Years.  Considering the quality of Decca's back catalogue and the superb sound they captured, it should be an interesting set for just a couple of quid per CD.
