Spotify

How are folks using spotify with their Naim streamers?
I tried Mac Mini via optical into the nDAC, using SpotRemote. It was very good. But SBT via RCA > BNC to DAC sounds a bit fuller, though not much, IMHO. And, I really like iPeng. I prefer both to streaming from an iDevice. Sonos was well behind in similar config.
So, I would suggest trying either or both of my preferred methods into your ND.
Not surprised, are you? ![]()

Please tell us what SBT is. Sorry if I am thick but there is (IMHO ha ha) far too much use of acronyms on these forums. Thanks
Squeezebox Touch. A cheap plastic thing.

Well it's called Squeezebox Touch, that's correct. The rest of that post is condescending and uninformed.
The reality is it is a source which would completely blow away the streamer part of, for example, a SuperUnity when compared through equal amplification. Oh and it natively streams Spotify. Its build quality is fantastic given its original selling price (£200).
Running into a good DAC it is as good as my NDX as a source. Its interface is very different to a Naim streamer so it's a different user experience and you need its own software on a PC or NAS if you want to stream CDs to it, but in the end it remains for me one of the very best if not top 'pound for pound' digital sources that has ever been made.
I am just using spotify on my PC in order to explore a CD I might want to buy a bit further - to avoid disappointing buys. It serves it's purpose - although spotify has it's limitations with regards what you will find as music (some of the music I like - is not on Spotify).
Apple TV into NDX, Spotify then airplays from my iPad to Apple TV
Good solution for me.
I am using my faithful Sonos ZP 90. Linked it via a wireworld optical cable to my NDS.
Sounds nice...
ZP90 digital out to NDX - works great.
Wired for Sound SONOS ZP90 to DAC/252/250 works great
2 x Sonos Connect. One into nDAC. The other one into UnitiQute 1. I tried both with Coax and Optical, Coax was a bit flat sounding. Much better with Optical! (Chord Optichord)
