Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Ahhhh West Ham why do you break my heart week in week out ......and why is it you've forgotten how to play football, it's more like watching rugby now

I think you'll have to thank Big Sam for that

If you have never been to Hull away do give it a bash next season and stay overnite. Plenty of parking near the hospital, then its just a short walk to the ground. Several very good museums worth going to see and all free. We also walk round the old indoor market, where there is a very good Hi-Fi shop

I have mista h - and we won. Slightly strange being shepherded over a bridge after the game and a long way away from where my car was - but otherwise a good experience.

Re the PL, looks like the relegation fight is going to be as interesting as the competition for the title. From Stoke in 10th place and below, everyone looks vulnerable. Glad my local club Palace is having a bit of a resurgence under Pulis. They looked dead 'n' buried a few weeks back.

I'm slightly more disappointed about it than you are I think - but it was good to see you got a win. It moves you an important distance away from the trapdoor.

Not sure where our next win might come from, even with Sunderland to play at home on Saturday. I've been watching football for long enough now to recognise the signs of a side in a lot of trouble. Unfortunately I think we have to let Malky move on if we are to survive this season. The relationship has been too damaged to recover now the trust has gone.

Good job I'm otherwise having an excellent Xmas

I am amazed Man u dont run coaches from London to away games,as it looks to me thats where most supporters live !!

At my sports club in Purley a rough breakdown of footie supporters would be.

Man U......60%

Palace.....20%

Chelsea....20%

With just me & one other Fulham.

The current roller coaster is operated by the Samster but the ride has been pretty much the same as long as I can remember.

It's character building following the Hammers.

After yesterday it was inevitable. It was clear his heart wasn't in it any more.

However, to continue the circus that is Cardiff City, it seems we're being heavily linked to this mad Turk: http://www.turkish-football.com/news_read.php?id=5501

His claim to fame seems to have been to have managed every Turkish side that ever existed. Such joy...

Just waiting for Sunderland to come and turn us over on Saturday now to make it perfect :-)

A pity but inevitable, I suppose.  Tan seems to know as much about football as the chicken farmers who own Blackburn.

Tan looks like a cross between a Kamikaze pilot and Arthur Daley and probably knows less than either about footy.

I always had Arthur down as a Hammers fan...?

Pride of Stockport - surely?

Just been reading my Daily Mail(great paper) about the Cardiff City saga. Its states they paid 10/15 million for some Joker called Gary Medel, for which the agent cops £800,000.

As i am a simple man of few brain cells can someone tell me what this scumbag of an agent did to earn his crust?

Simple -- the agent convinced Cardiff to pay £11M for a 5'7" defensive-minded midfielder. IMO, anyone who can sell ice cubes to Eskimos deserves a big fat commission check!

Baggies/Hammers was a fun match to watch this morning. Am sure it was less fun for supporters of the two sides, especially the home club.  No clue why WBA pulled Berahino, as he seemed to be the one player creating chances every time he touched the ball.

ATB.

10/15 million?

It was reported to be 13M Euros / just under £11M - a Chilean international and look what they did to England recently. I think they paid slightly over the odds but they probably had to to get him - good player imho.

Just watched the Cardiff v Sunderland game on the telly. PB - you must be pretty gutted at having a victory snatched away in the fifth minute of injury time.  The camera also seemed to catch Tan booing the team off at the end which is a pretty curious way for an owner to behave. Still, there's always someone else feeling even worse e.g. possibly Mista H after that humiliation at Hull.

Don't you just hate footie at times?

Next up Fulham v West Ham.

Posted on: 28 December 2013 by mista h

Frigging glad i din`t go. Guy who i go to a lot of away games with asked me several weeks ago if i wanted to do norwich & Hull away with him. After going to west ham i told him no more away games for me. Not prepared to waste my time and money watching crap.

2 of our best players the last few weeks have been Snotty Parker & Adel Tarabt, not even on the bench today.Who does he play instead, bloody Felicity(ruiz). This new clown of a manager we got from Man U does not know how to pick a football team.

I hope the club do right by our supporters who made the trip and refund the cost of the match ticket.

It would have been a very long and miserable trip home, conducted mostly in silence, so you were at least saved from that, Mista h.

Must say your new manager is an interesting one to hear interviewed. He seems to have the strangest mix of accents. Partly Dutch, I guess, but some odd regional English accents in there too.  Can't pin it down but I haven't been so amused since Jan Molby's day.

He's a very good coach - and Hull at the KC is not an easy place to go

Just about ready to talk about it now. I hate last minute goals against us. I think that we're going to be in trouble after January as we have the Arse, Man U and Man City away and just West Ham at home - and we never beat West Ham.

I'm just waiting for Tan to hire someone who's got his coaching badges but is prepared to just do as Tan says during a game so that Tan can play FM for real.

The only thing I can console myself with is that at least we didn't lose today but unless Tan can find someone stupid enough to work with him then we're going to be in trouble. We are 3 or 4 good players short of a properly competitive team at this level and Tan is more likely to do a QPR than a Soton with his next manager.

Just as well that I like the Championship...
