Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

You were lucky we brought on Cornelius - the lucky winner of our 'pretend to be a footballer' competition - otherwise we might have won with his 'shot' at the end

He's actually so bad at the moment that it is laughable - if only he weren't earning £45k a week on a 5-year contract. He genuinely has won the lottery, and along with £18k/week Brayford is one of the major reasons that Moody and Mackay are no longer with us.

Tan may be a wonderful comic foreigner but he's got every right to be pissed off with the signing of Cornelius and Brayford

Will you be coming to our gaff on New Years Day ?

A bit TOO "interesting" for my liking Mista. Won't be going (although I was offered a ticket) as I will be in St Albans over New Year and to be quite honest after the last two games I just can't bear it.

If we don't beat your mob on Wednesday we are going down I reckon.

..and just back from a 3-game suspension for an earlier act of irresponsibility to his team-mates. Big Sam should be fining him a packet.

Mista, saw the game on a stream in a pub in St Albans, so I saw the whole sorry mess. Nolan is a complete bellend, and Fat Sam should strip him of the captaincy forthwith. He is slow and no longer hits the target and has twice in a month demonstrated that he cannot control his temper. We should just get rid.

Barring a miracle, we are going down, and Fat Sam and his lackey Nolan are ultimately to blame.

 PS - Isn't Senderos useless?

Well spotted kevin,he and he alone has cost us god knows how many points over time, yet manager after manager keep picking him,AND he is a full Swiss international.

Still, there's always someone else feeling even worse e.g. possibly Mista H after that humiliation at Hull.

Don't you just hate footie at times?

Just about ready to talk about it now. I hate last minute goals against us. I think that we're going to be in trouble after January as we have the Arse, Man U and Man City away and just West Ham at home - and we never beat West Ham.

I'm just waiting for Tan to hire someone who's got his coaching badges but is prepared to just do as Tan says during a game so that Tan can play FM for real.

The only thing I can console myself with is that at least we didn't lose today but unless Tan can find someone stupid enough to work with him then we're going to be in trouble. We are 3 or 4 good players short of a properly competitive team at this level and Tan is more likely to do a QPR than a Soton with his next manager.

Just as well that I like the Championship...

Well I didn't expect OGS to be stupid enough to become the new manager...

He apparently wants to play attacking football - which will be interesting as we only have 4 players who know how to attack - and one of those has knees which have gone and another has just pulled his hamstring.

Looking forward to seeing who he buys in the January sales as that is going to tell us whether we have a chance of staying up or are doomed to the drop.

Perhaps he was seduced by Tan sending his private jet to collect him. Plus lots of money, of course.

More seriously OGS might be making a shrewd move in the sense that if he succeeds his reputation will be enhanced and if he fails the world of football will put it down to the interference of the mad owner.

Will be interesting to see who OGS signs in the transfer window.

Not many teams walk away from Old Trafford with 3 points !! Are you an ex London boy then.

Have to say  there is only one manager in the premier ship i cannot stand and that is Moyes. Comes over on TV as mista nice guy,but he aint.

Not so difficult to win at Old Trafford anymore h. They've lost 4 out of 10 home games in the Premiership this season. Apparently this is the worst Champion defence at this stage of the season ever. I think my prediction at the beginning of the season that United would finish in mid table is looking more likely than a place in the top 4, let alone winning the Premiership.

They'll have plenty of time to rebuild next year when they have no commitments in Europe.

Unfortunately my mate Chris remains in denial.

Last roll of the Allardyce?

As ever the fat oaf refuses to take any responsibility for yet another dire performance.

If, as reports say, the chunky chancer gets £5m compo if he gets the sack, then it will be money well spent. Get rid immediately, G&S! No player of any calibre is going t come to us as long as this **** is in charge.

Congrats to Forest, they thoroughly deserved their win and were as good as we were awful. Hope you progress in the cup chaps!

Good to see you have made this post kevin, after todays showing i feared you might have gone and cut your throat with a sharp kitchen knife.

May i be  so bold as to suggest a visit to the pub tonite !!

Big Sam fielded a reserve team, too. I understand the need to rotate players these days but I always think these wholesale changes show disrespect to the competition and the opposition. Sam's decision got what it deserved. Well done Forest.

One might argue that the fact that my shambles of a club were prepared to send out what was in effect the youth team, the magic of the cup has been consumed by the idiocy that  is premier league survival.

not as if we look remotely capable of achieving that either.

Well done Forest, great display, go and try to win it for the sake of old time footy.

Kevin,

Now my post match exuberance has faded while watching swansea hopefully add a nail to moyes coffin,,i have to admit to being dissapointed at allerdyces team selection.  It was either arrogance or incompetence on his part not selecting  a team that could  compete in a cup match.

West Ham were bad but i dont agree with allerdyces " i had to play the kids " argument , simply not the case  by all means play some young players but at least set them up with some experience alondside them  and a formation that they could lay in. Playing 3 at the back played to Forests strengths letting Abdoun and Patterson attack , if only we had a proper striker up front instead of a central defender it could of been a cricket score .

good luck for the rest of the season and hopefuly you get  a return to playing decent football with a manager that wants to compete regrdless of who the opposition is

.

All in all a good day to be Forest fan a premiership scalp and Derby lose at home ,
