Football season 2013-2014

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.
My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.
Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Well done Sunderland! What a pathetic display of penalty taking by United.
Looking forward to City meeting the Black Cats at Wembley.
Long trip home tonight Chris.
Hardly stunning penalty taking all round 3 out of 10
Long trip home tonight Chris.
Yep - just got back after fueking and dropping off the minibus - nightmare trip all round
Onwards and upwards though
Or downwards. I was looking forward to an all Manchester final.
You must be shattered in more ways than one.
From your previous posts i gather you live around the Southampton area!! And you drive all the way to Manchester and back in a poxy Minibus......for a nite game of all things. I gave up going to Old Trafford years ago when they increased capacity to 75000,as getting away from that place is a joke.
Watching Southampton would make sense to me. I think you need to go see a Doctor to check you sanity.
Do we have a Doctor in the house?

Chris lives in Poole Alan. He's a true member of the prawn sandwich brigade. There's nowt so queer as folk!
The other guy in my avatar is a very fit bugger, run marathons etc. When he did the 3 peaks challenge last year we drove his minibus. Up and down the motorway flat out at 60mph,lorries trying to overtake you, truly did my head in.

You are so mean
You might really upset the softer United supporters
Are they Van Persie's boots?

Indeed - they closed the M42 between J4 and J3A where it links into the M40 with very very few diversion signs to followbut which took us in a wierd circular route befeore joining the M40 from the opposite direction!!!!
Good news is that I have saved some money by not have to go to Wembley in March.
....Well well well that was some evening.....as a mackem my personal Wembley experence's ain't been great ...an epic win in 73' followed by defeats in various competitions in 85'...90'...92' ....and even the one I missed in 98' so yes we'll probably not get much this time around - although we've beaten City at least once a season for 4 years now (inc being the only unbeaten Prem team in their Championship season!) ....We'll enjoy ourselves whatever - Haway The Lads!

If my failing memory serves me correct Wigan turned City over in the cup final last year.
Hope you manage to get a ticket for the game, and enjoy your day in the big city.

Don't remind me of that Alan. What a time for Mancini to say he was leaving. Man City are a completely different team under Pellegrini and I think Gus Poyet is realistic about his chances at Wembley but with football you never know. You have to admit that City play very entertaining football.

I very wise man once posted on an internet forum:-
During one's time on planet earth you may change the school you go to, change the job you have, change the car you drive, change the house you live in, even change the wife( often a good idea and sometimes more than once) but you must NEVER EVER change the team you support.

What? You let lorries try to overtake you??? The bits I don't are the junctions where cars are joining the motorway a bit faster than the minibus and trying to go past cars that are doing just under 60 mph who then speed up.

That's the spirit, Peter. I don't think the fans of the big clubs fully appreciate the joy that a rare visit to Wembley gives to those of us who follow smaller clubs. I really hope you enjoy the day.

Eeeeeek! The very thought. How could suggest such thing?
Does anyone actually enjoy going to and/or from the new Wembley - or the stadium itself - it's a nightmare imho.
The toilets in particular are horrendous - I am not normally claustraphobic but I hated them - at least they no longer have black painted walls all the way to the ceiling.
I much much prefer the Millenium Stadium - and the Emirates is very nice too

Chris - you should try the toilets at Fratton Park. I suspect you might re-appraise those at Wembley.

Wembley's toilets are fine in the VIP section.
2 midfielders out at Chelsea and 2 midfielders in. Could we actually get a proper striker please?
I have - and sadly I disliked Wembley's orginal tolilets more - although to be fair they are not now as bad as they responded to the criticism.
Anyway they put a roof on the away end at Fratton Park - luxury
Probably - I did blag some 'hospitality" tickets for an England game a couple of years ago and the facilities were markedly better - but it was chaos trying to get back to the seats for the start of the second half - I nearly spilt my Cristal.

Can't argue with that. A visit to Wembley is rarely an enjoyable experience either side of the footie
PB - are you at OT on Tuesday?
PB - are you at OT on Tuesday?
No - I don't do the away trips as the police in many of the English cities seem to view a visit of Cardiff as an opportunity for legal hooliganism on their behalf. I'm too old to be treated like cattle.
The match should be a good opportunity for you to get back on track unless our new 'Man Utd and Molde Lite' side gels very quickly. Will be interesting to see if your ex-Norwegians get a run out against you.
We could do with the points more than you though, so it will be good if you can continue your recent continuation of the Xmas spirit.
Well I've got a spare tickets in the Streford End - so long as you wear RED - sorry
