Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Poor old Pompey, reduced to training on the astro at my son's school this morning. It's a very good astro, but nevertheless.......

Quite funny from The Grauniad:

René Meulensteen famously asked his players to visualise themselves as animals, which makes one wonder what animal he himself most resembles. Some endangered species, obviously. Or perhaps an emu, since the waning powers of Damien Duff mean Meulensteen does not have wings of any use (and he also got a fisting by Hull).

Chelsea top thanks to Liverpool, Norwich & Hazard!

..and at the other end Nolan is seemingly repairing his relationship with Hammers fans and Palace's resurgence continues, both new signings scoring. Meanwhile, unless Fulham get result at Man U (not such an implausible idea these days) they will be five points adrift. Could one of the relegation slots be filled?

I think there is more chance of me having sex with Miss World than us getting a result at Man U tomorrow. Unless a miracle happens we are down and TBH its what we deserve. Just not good enough.

Kevin.......have you said sorry to Uncle Sam yet,he`s steam rolling you up the league.

Mary Stavin might help you out there (unfortunately).

I'm not driving to OT tomorrow so I can enjoy the comfort of Bluebird Coach travel - Luxury

Presumably you are not travelling risking your licence mista h

Thanks for reminding me of that, HH. I'm depressed again now

Eeenyyyway....

I posed the question earlier in the thread if the winner from the City / Chelsea game would win the title...Seems like the bookies are now saying it's Chelsea.

Both City and Chelsea have to go to Anfield yet though, if Liverpool feel like it, they could swing it...Or is it just Arsenal from 'the big three' who are capable of shipping 5 goals?!

Thread cleaned up.  A word to the wise (or otherwise); posts describing your illegal acts - yes, even speeding - are not acceptable here.  Thanks.

The fact that Citeh and Chelski have yet to go to Klanfield is why Loserpool will be fifth at best

Hi Chris,

Enjoy your game today. Where has the Man Utd avatar gone? Not a crisis in confidence I hope.

See you next weekend.

No - I was trying to change the Avatar but the software wouldn't allow it. There seem to be a lot of contributors who no longer have Avatars atm.

I for one will be pleased (sorry Fulham fans) if at least one relegation spot is filled ...Sunderland have now had 3 different players sent off against Hull in 2 games! so after last week's euphoric thumping of NUFC and 1 defeat in 13 we are right back in the mire again ...with some awful away matches lined up (oh and a cup final tucked in amongst them!)

I'ts never boring being a Mackem!

Not my business.  So long as it's consentual and she's of age it's probably legal.  Whether it's right, or even likely though is another question, but as I say, not my business.

Well, Mista H, limber up, slap on the aftershave, get out the viagra because it seems you're going to score tonite.

Miss Philippines awaits!

If there is a game that sums up an increasingly... mental... season, it's that Man U v Fulham one. What a game! What a season!

Posted on: 09 February 2014 by dayjay

Its been an excellent weekend if you are a Liverpool fan.  There have been a number of big teams who fancied their chances at Anfield this season and gone home with a heavy loss.  Be interesting to see how City and Chelsea do too

Nah Mista... I appreciate his efforts, and I hope he helps keep us up, but I still want Hippo Head gone at the end of the season.

Nolan, on the other hand, has completely redeemed himself and is back in all the fans' good books.

Ah! The giddy heights of 15th!
