Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Although it is sort of a "dog years" balance x 2 - One Man United = 14 of the Brady Bunch - or thereabouts

Its nice to see other teams doing well, I just love ripping it out of my Man u Friends. Makes a change from them ripping me to bits. Its going to be a tight season at the top I hope it goes to the last day with any one of four teams needing to win their last game.

For fans of Southampton and Newcastle clearly - possibly also Swansea and West Ham - and maybe more

Looks like Man City can now concentrate on pursuit of domestic silverware now.

No - they will have 11 players next time and Aguero will be back. They will surely not succumb to

Fulham Officially Announces Appointments, Departures

Tuesday 18 February 2014 21:53

Fulham Football Club have officially announced the appointments of Tomas Oral as First Team Coach and Werner Leuthard as Conditioning Coach, both reporting to new First Team Manager Felix Magath, effective immediately.

The Club simultaneously made the formal announcement that René Meulensteen, Alan Curbishley, Ray Wilkins, Mick Priest and Jonathan Hill have departed Fulham. Terms of the parting are complete and confidential.

“I’m very grateful to René, Alan and Ray, as well as Mick and Jonathan, for their commitment to Fulham,” said Chairman Shahid Khan. “Their efforts were admirable and appreciated, and I wish them the best.

“Felix has come to Fulham with purpose and exceptional confidence, and I know he’s extremely pleased to have Tomas Oral and Werner Leuthard join him for the mission ahead. From today forward, the focus is singularly on winning football matches and remaining in the Barclays Premier League. The work has begun.”

I'd assumed Curbishley - then Wilkins - then relegation - seems like they have chosen to skip the middle men.

Almost Venky's take two

This guy has probably picked up about 2 million quid for 6 weeks work so he should be able to get that dodgy tooth fixed.

Got some fun news in my inbox today.  I know these are just off-season exhibitions, but it will likely be my only opportunity to ever see City play. Hopefully most of the first team travels for this, and plays at least a half...

If you want a good larf go onto the FFC website, the manager we are using this week has just done a 20 minute press conference. Guy should be in the circus, not at a football club as he comes across as a right clown.

Apart from THAT appalling incident he was a genius on the field.  Saw him live once and he just seemed to have so much more time than any other player on the pitch.

happy days , happy hammers 3-1.

Yep, Saints apparently had nearly 70% of possession. But as someone has so cogently pointed out on the Southampton local paper site:

"Painting the fallen madonna with the big boobies is of no use if you forget to paint the bit of her that matters."

excellent, it want a bad game, but 3-1 is a fantastic result. Hammers were one down then two goals in the space of five minutes then another by Nolan.
