Football season 2013-2014

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.
My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.
Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Not too young, but IIR it was a slightly better match with at least most of the players engaging in it. I hope Moyes will think carefully about mid field. The current urgent problem is they don't have anyone to make and score goals RVP not withstanding, perhaps a transition time for the great ones.
Tim
Man United RIP
Never Fellaini is Belgium's best player as is going to be a megastar.
We we might have been shit yesterday - but we're still the Champions - and I have a good feeling that we will win it again
Fellaini Belgium's best player? He wasn't even the best Belgian player on the pitch yesterday. What about Vincent Kompany? Fellini was left for dead by Aguero.
Fellaini's an excellent player, perhaps unique, you won't see a bloke as big and powerful with so much skill. His main game is playing 15 yard passes, he'd have slotted into Arsenals team without a problem.
There was more expression of skill from Yaya Toure in the match than in that video of Fellaini's 'greatest bits'. There's an example of a bloke as big and powerful with a shed load more skill than Fellaini.
If United don't buy big in January I can't see them finishing above mid table. Vidic and Ferdinand, as good as they were, are too slow now and have to be rested frequently. Also, there isn't any great midfield presence now Scholes has 're-retired'. They wont get Rooney playing back in midfield again, like Ferguson did, or he'll be off to Chelsea. There isn't much strength in depth within the squad now and they're likely to struggle as the season goes on. In addition, Moyes's tactical play is suspect. United have a run of easy matches coming up. If they don't get about 80% of the points then Moyes could be following Di Canio.
The Capital Cup game against Liverpool will be interesting. I see the old boys Vidic and Ferdinand will have to be rested. Nipper Suarez could have some fun if he's on form.
Thanks Steve - that utter crap did make me laugh out loud
We'll have to see Chris. On Sunday's performance it's a possibility. It could be 1974 revisited.

True - losing at Cardiff and being outplayed by Stoke remains a possibility of course.
At last nites game Everton must have had about 4,000 supporters. Have to say for a midweek nothing sort of game that is fantastic support. Then again most were probably on the Rock n Roll and had nothing better to do.

You may think that Chris but David Moyes doesn't seem to think so. Have you read todays papers? Quote "We need help".

Everton huge support in the South with several supporters clubs i with E.S.C.L.A. being one of the largest
http://www.escla.org.uk/ When I lived in Henley I was a member despite moving to N.Ireland I still keep in touch with many of them!
You don't believe what you read in the papers do you Steve?
Anyway it was good to hear that the United Reserves did OK this evening.

They probably traveled early, soaked in the west end atmosphere, engaged with their feminine side by taking in a matinee musical.
Or
Took the opportunity to rob a few posh gaffs.

I think I would go with the latter. Have to say thou that Everton fans are one of the few teams that SIT DOWN during the game. 99% of the time we may as well remove the away seats as no bugger uses them.

What was it? "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."
Then again successive defeats for Liverpool - playing their first team in the League Cup too. Anyone would think that they weren't playing in a European competition. Crisis beckons?
OT beckons - and a 3 o'clock kick off on a Saturday too
Boing! Boing! Baggies Baggies
I wonder when was the last time Man U were in the bottom half of the top division going into October? With Man C going down again this looks to be shaping up to being a very interesting season.

3 days is indeed a long time in football:
"United go into a Champions League group game at Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday after a loss to West Brom signalled their worst league start in 24 years" BBC Sport Football
Still some teams are doing OK............
Come on you Saints
Must have been a long journey home to London for all the Man Utd fans.
Or Dorset - for some of us. Red Flag
David, Love, you know you need to go for it, gain their trust?
Yes Dear.
So the back four; Fabio, Smalling/Evans, Vidic, and Evra.
No, Jones, Evans, Ferdinand, and Buttner.
Why?
Well, Jones offers little in attack and his crossing is funny, Ferdinand's form is poor, and Buttner shouldn't be near a Manchester United shirt.
Just reward. Bad judgement? Arrogant? Moyes hasn't helped himself.
Cheers,
OW

Couldn't agree with you more. This could be the strangest season for a long while.
Man Citeh losing is so so very far from usual - relatively speaking
In the Sun today Martin Jol 11/8 on to win the Sack race.
After yesterdays game they look like dam good odds to me.
Mista H
Since Jol is the choice of the previous owner, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the new one want his own man in soon. A pattern that repeats itself quite often. There are plenty of out-of-work managers on the market at the moment but not sure many have a better record that the Dutchman. Better the devil you know?

Is my eyesight going or am I correct you live in Dorset ??????? and travel up their for every game.
If so you are either keen or nuts,as getting away from Old Trafford is a bloody nightmare. Gave up doing it years ago.
