Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Is he related to Colin Bell-End?

Even Sky seem to have given up on Man Utd. They have Football Club Sky HD Remote Controls for the top clubs in the Premiership. All the usual suspects but Man Utd conspicuous by it's absence.

Oh dear - how tacky. Good to see United not involved in that.

I know, it's odd isn't it? You'd have thought it'd be up their, and their fans', street.

I didn't think it was that good - and we won.

I can't see how either team will stay up playing football like that - though I thought Sunderland were worse than you.

At least the sun came out :-) See you in the Championship next year...

From the highlights I saw on TV I thought Cardiff well-deserved their victory but Fulham's marking at set-pieces? Oh dear, oh dear!

Posted on: 09 March 2014 by Kevin-W

It looks like Magath has bitten off more than he can chew with this Fulham team. They cannot defend (set pieces especially) and just don't seem to play as a team.

Getting rid of two managers in one season now looks like catastrophic folly.

Thank you for those kind words PB,saying there is a team worse than us in the prem. We are gone, dead and buried, its just a question of who is going to keep us company in the drop. I think your lot have half a chance of staying up,but i would not like to put money on it. First time for me to the new stadium, and have to say it gets the thumbs up. Very spacious away area, well staffed and no waiting to get a beer. Stadium i think has been well thought out,and although we went on the coach having an away supporters car park is a nice touch. Highlight of the day for us was chicken and chips in Asda. Were my ears correct in than home supporters boooood a certain owner of yours at the end ?

Bravo Wigan. That was decent Man C side they turned over at the Eithad. Don't know if there are any Wigan fans on here but they should have a beer or two tonight, I should think. Uwe Rosler must be pretty pleased with the day too. Perhaps the romance of the FA cup is not dead.

Well done Wigan. It was gutting to lose to them, and in fairness the ref was a bit suspect at times, but it was a real FA Cup tie victory of David beating Goliath. Remember they also beat Chelsea, so Arsenal will be very wary of meeting them in the semifinals. Good luck to them.

Gracious in defeat. Would be good to see a few Premiership managers following your example, Steve.

I liked the quadruple reference best whether at 18.21 or 19.17 - although I expect that it is a fictious Tweet

Yep you heard the boos - not a very happy place all around at present but we have a history of messing things up when it would be easier to achieve something... :-)

We won't stay up this season unless two other teams besides yourselves choose to commit hari-kiri. At present it looks as if we only have Norwich, Palace, Sunderland and West Brom to choose from so things aren't looking brilliant.

Your lot were really noisy as well - credit to you all for keeping going in the face of a fairly weak attempt by your players. We normally fall apart in the last 10 minutes when holding onto a lead but you didn't bring any pressure to bear at all thank goodness.

We've decided to bring Xmas early for most teams this season by not playing a right-back. I know Fabio plays there, but he's purely for entertainment value and to make the opposing teams players feel good about themselves.

Glad you enjoyed the welcome. The stadium does seem to work well for the opposing fans - which is about as polar opposite as you can get compared to Ninian Park :-)
