Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

You are one brave boy mista h. I'm sure you will soon incur the wrath of Dolan.

Love the last one by the way.

Whenever I think of David Moyes an Man Utd supporters now I can't get this image from my mind,

I guess the caption should read; United we stand with our heads in the sand.

So that's how you think you'll get back in Chris's good books? Now you'll have both of us gunning for you!

Since Man U have just gone 3-0 up against the 'bubbles' I suspect Mr D's attentions are elsewhere

Well done Man U. The better side on the night and into the quarter finals of the Champions League. Must admit I didn't think they had in in them to turn-over a 2-0 deficit this evening.

Mister Dolan is fine. We've been in contact in the last few days. He's just too busy lately to come onto the forum.

But I'd run for cover when he returns.

At that time I was hoping for a fourth - but that would be too easy.  Bayern Munich would be great in the next round - or Real Madrid - or Barcelona - or PSG  We'll probably draw Chelski though

I think I'd be looking to draw PSG or Dortmund, Chris. Leave the big boys until the semi-finals

I have no expectations of the semi-finals - so I would quite like a nice away trip  - it might be some time until it happens again.

As some of you will know, my team is West Ham (the team that won the World Cup in 1966 ). Getting to our ground, the Boleyn, is notoriously difficult, and London Transport make it more so by always scheduling closures or engineering works when a home fixture's on.

But whenever Man U came to visit, there were never engineering works, and getting to the ground from South London was a breeze.

Man U are coming this weekend. And guess what? There ARE engineering works (the Jubilee, Northern, Central, DLR and Overground are all part closed). Even London Transport no longer regards Manchester United as important. That's how far they've fallen.

Kevin

After you have eaten your Michelin starred Pie n mash, and gone round the corner to St Georges to have your stomach pumped out,get a 270 bus to Putney, then a District line strait thru to upton park...Sorted.

Ha! It's much easier to get a bacon and egg chapati from the stall outside Balham station, get the train to Victoria and then the District line all the way to UP.

Your fears realised then, Chris. Drawing the holders and losing VP.  Moyes must feel the fates are against him this season.

I'll be at the Boleyn Ground tomorrow Kevin - if I can avoid the roadworks Actually I'll probably park at Richmond and public transport it from there - no point risking the Maserati unnecessarily

No - my hopes - I wanted Munich. I've never been to the Allianz Arena - and now the trip is booked  I would not be surprised if RVP makes a miraculous recovery - but if not so be it.

I was waiting for Citeh or Liverpool or Arsenal to come out of the pot but I must have missed them
