Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Chelsea are giving Arsenal a good thumping.

Sorry mista h. Not Fulham's day again and that quote above maybe prophetic for the manager's life expectancy.

Am i glad i did not waste my time going up to Manchester. Time for a new manager maybe !! Gonna do something useful now and open a 2nd bottle of wine.

Mister Dolan and Mr W will probably be drinking for different reasons tonight.

There were a lot of goals in the Premiership today. I must record MOTD.

Certainly worth raising a toast to Rooney's first goal.

And while I generally find Wenger's consistent 'bad-loser' mentality irritating I must confess some sympathy for the guy this afternoon. An absolute spanking on his 1000th game in charge and administered by the Special One whose teams he has never been able to beat.  That must really hurt!

Yes, it was a gloomy drinks session we "enjoyed" this evening. West Ham were dozy and complacent, and deserved to lose. Once again Hippo Head's complacency and lack of tactical nous has undone us.

Shrek's wonder goal aside, the Mancs were not even that good, as even Chris will admit.

Kevin,

Chris would never admit to that.

At least east the weather was better than in Manchester where it rained hard at the Citeh match.

Chelsea's win over L'Arse will get all the headlines, but watching MOTD, I have to say that Liverpool are unbelievably impressive. They are ruthless, play brilliantly as a team and, best of all, they look as hungry as any team I've seen. You sense that winning is never enough, they want to win convincingly.

I believe both the tacky blue team from West London and Citeh have to visit Anfield in the next few weeks. They will be very interesting games.

I fear they will DESTROY us when they visit the Boleyn next month.

The second half was poor from both teams at the Boleyn this evening. Bring on Citeh on Tuesday

I had to watch the Westham  game on telly. Rooneys goal was a cracker, he caught adrian well of his line. Other than that was not that good, but then i had a nice few beers.

I watched it online and highlight of the viewing for me was the constant pop ups that I can't seem to be rid of.

As for the 'wonder' goal.. I wonder what Adrian was thinking about.

Dreadful, the four wins on the trot seem a long way back, could be four defeats(god forbid) Wednesday, four doubles in fact.

Hmm - not sure that the image of Coleen is particularly flattering - I think that she should sue

I thinks it's a pretty good likeness Chris

I'd like to point out that last night Wolves won, Brentford lost, and Leyton Orient drew, which could not have gone better.

It is a veritable shame that your team has to get double relegated in order to have a chance of winning something, but a chance of winning something it is all the same.

I bet Steve Morgan thinks it vindicates the decision to sack Mick McCarthy in just "two short years". Tosser.

What's shocking is that Hippo Head, who has only been our manager since the 2011/12 season - is now the THIRD-LONGEST SERVING PL manager, after Wenger and Pardew
