Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

I don't know - a few undeserved penalties and anything might happen - apparently

I sense a certain bitterness here.  Perhaps you might understand now how other teams left during Fergie time about never getting a pen at OT and inexplicably long extra time

A common fallacy - I hope that is spelt correctly

At least you didn't spell it 'phallusy' meaning it's a load of old cock, as they say in the Valleys.

That's the one - I considered putting "phantasm" - but thought that might send a mixed message

Story for Mista Dolan

When we were taking our seats at villa(upper tier) last weekend steward says to us we dont allow any standing here while the game is on. To which i replied GOOD i`ve paid for a seat and i want to use it.

So then i asked him what they did when Man u came to town ? We give up and let them do what they want was the reply.

I'm sure there is a song about that.

Yes I was there last year (2-nil down and won 2-3 - happy days) on the front row of the upper tier with a fairly small perpex screen right at the front.

The stewards did try to get the front row to sit down to be fair as it was potentially dangerous - but they only seemed to focus attention on the front row.

Another good result for Mr Magoo today I see

Do all of mista h's posts get referred to big brother now?

According to the lead page he posted the last item on this thread 2 hours ago. Let's hope that it is worth the wait

Oh, I'm sure it will be.

I have great hope that, with all their exertions against Wigan earlier, Arsenal will be exhausted when we travel to the Emirates on Tuesday...

After a streaky semi-final win against a Championship side I suspect the Gunners will have been bruised to lose fourth place to Everton.  A Champions league place next season is worth more to them than an FA cup final appearance.

It is nailed on that Arse will the no-one gives a stuff cup to force United into the Europa League -come on Hull (not the other one as I've never rated Sean Bean)

Have to say we were back to our normal rubbish self this afternoon.

Best bit of excitement was as we were walking over Putney bridge. 3 coppers in the centre of the bridge one of them leaning over the side with his arms outstretched. So me being a nosey sod went and stood next to one of them and looked over the wall down at the River. soon got told to clear off as a guy was sitting on a narrow ledge ready to jump into the Thames.

Does anyone know from the news if he jumped or not ??

Okay, looking forward to the big game today. A must win for the Reds, could go either way as far as I am concerned,  a little pressure on Liverpool whilst Man City can be a little patient.

I am off to watch the game down the pub to meet the Red horde army here in Oslo.

If there are any City fans on the Forum...good luck!

Let the Games Begin.

Yes Jason, this could be the game that decides who wins the PL. As a neutral, I would prefer the Scousers to win - as long as Suarez behave himself of course.

Unfortunately Kevin, I don't think Suarez will be able to help himself in front if the Kop and with
such an atmosphere. Let's hope they are minor and goal scoring will be at the forefront of his mind instead.

LFC looked pretty awesome in the first half. And Man City losing Toure must be a big blow.

Posted on: 13 April 2014 by Steve J

Losing Toure is sure a big blow, and not getting the penalty decision didn't help, but Liverpool came out with all guns blazing in the first 20 minutes and deserve their lead.

Gosh, Man C blasting back now. Fabulous game maintaining an exhausting pace.
