Football season 2013-2014

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.
My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.
Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Terrific game that thoroughly lived up to its billing. A credit to both sides. Given the way they came back in the second half and one or two decisions, Man City will feel they should have got something out of the game but overall LFC shaded it and deserved their win. Phew!
Well played to both teams, very squeaky.
Jason.
Shame there's no proper football on this weekend - so I started up the baby Ducati for the first time this year
I know I saw you out and took a picture.
And one for Kevin.
This says it all

Finally got a chance to watch the replay late last night. A tale of two halves, eh?
Credit to LFC for the fast start, and to City for tightening up their back line, and making a nice comeback. Like everyone else watching I'm sure, it was quite a shock to see Kompany's miss followed by Coutinho's fine strike. Thought City had the draw in hand, along with a real chance of taking all 3 points...
My first reaction to Suarez flying through the air was dive...yellow...red. But then these things do have a funny way of evening out, and it could be argued that his first yellow was not deserved. Henderson's red was clearly deserved, and this could easily come back to hurt the Reds.
All in all, a hard fought battle between two great clubs. Liverpool has to be on their guard not to let down next week, as Norwich will be fighting to stay up (and to be the spoiler). All too easy for them to be looking ahead at Chelsea...

A colleague of mine is a huge Liverpool fan. After a win or loss, he always play YNWA for himself.
I'm not sure if I can explain this as funny, but it was to me. It shows how blown a footbal supporter can be.
During a match between Liverpool and Arsenal one LFC player started arguing with the referee and somebody in the room frustrated saying; so stupid, why argue on that, it was obvious. My colleague replies; come on, it was the referre who started it

..So cover me in chocolate and call me Sandra ...where the hell did THAT performance come from Sunderland tonight?? I was so sure of going down I just hoped we wouldn't prolong the agony by picking up too many points here and there in the next few games ....I just wanted it OVER with ...but then tonight happens and - well ok we'll probably still go down as we needed the 3 points but -.with Cardiff, WBA and Swansea all to play at home......?
Our record against City is silly ...the only team to take a point off them at the Etihad when they won the title ...tonight's result ..oh and 4 consecutive wins against them at the SOL!...
As the song goes can we play you every week?!

Shame about the Capital One Cup Final though - that would have been wonderful

...Ha ...I honestly forgot about that! ....typical of Sunderland though ...Birmingham win the League cup ....but go down ....Wigan win the FA Cup ...but go down ....Sunderland lose the League Cup final and ........?
.
Well conversely winning the League Cup means tnat Pellegrini will not last much longer - and tonight's result is probably another nail.
Sunderland staying up? Well it's not impossible - I have not compared the fixtures of all the contenders for relegation - but I do hope that Norwich beat Liverpool of course.

Hello Sandra
I have a sneaky feeling you may just get out of trouble.
If i was a gambler(which i aint) my money for the drop would be on us.the taffies and TBH i cannot see Norwich picking up another point..
Agree with Mista H's prediction that Norwich are heading for the trap-door. And the board there are highly culpable in the Canaries fate. Sorry, Mr Johnson, but I can't see Sunderland escaping. And that leaves a straight scrap between the Bluebirds (sorry Redbirds) and FFC. If pressed I'd plump for FFC's greater experience of end-of-season escapes being the critical factor that gives them the edge.
On a more upbeat note - well done Pulis and Palace! What a turnaround, aye?
Yet another gutless, clueless and inept performance by West Ham. Hippo Head has to go before the start of next season.
A dismal day only brightened by Chelsea's loss to rock-bottom Sunderland. That was funny, and has dealt their title ambitions a mortal blow.
Fourth consecutive win for Pompey. Chelsea lose. One step nearer to the £1m windfall should Liverpool win the league. All very exciting.
Up the Reds!!!!

Just back from Fratton. Good crowd at 18,000, and great atmosphere. 2,500 vocal Rovers fans contributed too. Their team should be proud of them. Performance wasn't great but at this stage of the season it's the result that counts. Safe now. Can't remember PFC getting 4 league wins on the trot. Very happy
