Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

...And another one bites the dust ....and barring the Canaries putting 14 past Arsenal I think Sunderland have (against ALL the odds) stopped up .....for some reason Poyet is not everyone's favourite boss but we mackem's know how he has picked up the wreckage left by PDC and (eventually) produced an accomplished counter attacking team ....so come on Ellis Short let's back Gus with real money and aim for a top 10 finish next season!

Yes, Peter. Congratulations. I thought your lot were dead and buried a few weeks back but the Black Cat's performances since have been stupendous. Survival thoroughly deserved.

With (only) Villa and the Hammers at home to come I can't see Man City throwing it away now. Sorry LFC fans.

What a strange atmosphere at tonights game, it eventually got to the team and ruined a good performance.

True Blueknowz but for the first time in over in 50 years I didn't mind taking a defeat.

TBH Graham its no more than we deserve. I dont mind not winning a match as long as i get to watch a half descent game of football. This season has been dire and our defence has let in almost 100 goals.....a joke. 2 games that stick in my throat are going to Swansea away for a evening game, getting home at 2 in the morning knackered having watched total crap. Also sheffield in the cup,we had 2 hrs of play and failed to score against a league one side......a joke.

3 managers in one season and the only one i thought was half descent they kick into touch.

BIG changes will/need to happen over the next 3 months, with a bit of luck we will have a new manager who knows how to MANAGE because this clown McGoo is not up to the job.

Watching the loss at Stoke on MoTD and again on Sky's Goals on Sunday, there was a lethargy very evident in the Fulham team.  Sidwell's interview was telling. A new manager for next season will be needed to rebuild team confidence.

There used to be someone here predicting good things for Connor Wickham's future, when he was at Ipswich.

Do you know what the average home gate has been for FFC the season? Also roughly how many supporters to you take to away games and how many do you think you will lose when you are in the Championship. As I suspect some of your younger fans will have only watched them in the Prem. By the way what will be your local derby next season Millwall?

Regards Graham.

… and to continue…. a little ironic? Perhaps it was meant to be funny though

Hello Graham.......to answer you questions

We have sold out for almost all home games this season @ 26,000. i think next season the `tourists` as we call them will vanish, them some more. My guess next season if we are pushing for promotion 23,000,if the dire football from this season continues around 16,000. Plans are complete and planning approval has been received to build a new Riverside stand to increase things to 31,000. Those plans are now to be found in some nearby dustbin, along with new owner mista Khans plans for 2000 premium(expensive) seats Away support varies big time, most games we sell out our alocation, but if its say Sunderland away on a cold Wed nite in Jan 500. Rivals next year will be Brentford and the ground with no bloody leg room....QPR. I shall miss going to Chelsea & Spurs next season(superb away seating),but am looking foreward to going to Blackpool, maybe for 2/3 days.

Yes, Blueknowz. It wasn't that long ago that my lot were contemplating a drop out of the league. We played B Rovers at home a coupe of weeks back. Beat them 3-2 but Rovers showed great spirit and were roared on by 2000+ travelling fans who did their club and team great credit. I really hope they bounce back from the Skrill league at the first time of asking.

Thanks h

You never know you may enjoy your football next season! We could always meet for a drink when you come to Sheffield Wed as we continue our annual battle for slightly lees than mid table mediocrity.

Even though I'm a City fan it's not over yet, especially given the vagaries of the Premiership this season. I just hope the fat lady Sings The Blues come next Sunday.

We were up in Sheffield a few years back when we played you in the cup. Stayed overnite in some crummy hotel the name of which escapes me.

Liverpool's surrender of a 3-goal lead tonight has probably put paid to their title hopes. Bravo Palace. though. Must have quite a night at Selhurst.
