Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Yep, I would go with that. A shocker at this stage of the season frankly, but well played Palace.

As I said a few days ago it's not over yet.  I hope it is but City still have to do the business.

Feel free to do so - but I won't as Citeh and their Toure Superman have not quite rescued the planet yet.

The Lady is nearly singing The Blues.

Well done to Gus Poyet and Sunderland on achieving a minor miracle.

Yes. Well done the Black Cats. A case of the cat getting the bird (or more precisely, the canary) I think.

WELL DONE

I think in my post some weeks back i got it spot on.....Us,Cardiff & Norwich.

Always used to enjoy our trips to Sunderland, and our evening meal in the Railway carriage parked along the seafront.

Only ever went to Newcastle the once, and never again. Stuck away supporters up in the gods, real crap seats.

If this actually happens wouldn't it be ironic?

BRENDAN Rodgers has admitted that allowing his team to leave Selhurst Park after 79 minutes to avoid traffic was a mistake.

Liverpool manager Rodgers made the decision when his men appeared to be on top with a 3-0 lead, but things swiftly turned around after they left.

Rodgers said: “In hindsight it was an error to withdraw my side in a bid to get a smooth run up the M1.

“But it can be a nightmare getting out of south London, especially when there’s football on.”

Palace visibly grew in confidence and enjoyed the majority of possession in the last 11 minutes, regularly finding space on the otherwise empty pitch.

Rogers admitted: “When we put the radio on and heard Palace had pulled it back to 3-2, I sensed we might be in trouble.

“It’s amazing how powerless you feel as a manager sometimes, especially when you’re at Newport Pagnell Services queuing to buy a Twix.”

We need West Ham to come good....it's still possible.........?

Whoops, Liverpool looking....flaccid.

Chelsea looking even more flaccid.

Hmmm, not looking like West Ham can do it today.

The title is Man City's.

Congratulations, City.  They've played some very attractive football this season. Toure has looked a very special player indeed.  And Dzeko, who looked to be on the fringes in the early part of the season, has proved himself as a goal-poacher with a formidable goals-per-game ratio.

I can well understand why you would want big Sam out, Kevin, but do you really believe the two owners will listen to the fans and sack him before next season? Money/Premiership survival is I suspect their only consideration.
