Football season 2013-2014

Posted by: mista h on 16 August 2013

As tomorrow the silly season starts all over again i thought i would start up this new thread so that followers of this stupidly rich game could have a say in anything Footie related. So if you want to have a moan or sing the praises about anything related would love to know about it.

My own moan is that lazy git Berbatov has carried on the way he ended last season. Watched him in our 2 home PSFs.He hardly broke sweat.

Also got to shake hands with our new Billionaire Chairman(Mr Khan),a friendly guy who appears to have trouble finding a barber shop

Absolutely! I couldn't believe the size of the belly that he was sporting. Guess he's not out on the training pitch with the players these days but frequenting the excellent fish & chip shops in Hull.

It seems to be a trait with a lot of ex-pro players. Maybe it's the relief from that icessant training!

I think that makes the score 1-1

Well 2-2 possibly - over the last four seasons - Manchester rules. Or 13-2  possibly. Or 20-4 possibly - all these statistics get confusing

I do know that Citeh won their only three league titles in my lifetime immediately following a United title victory - going back to 1968 - and that was undoubtedly a bittersweet year for them

So 2016 might be Citeh's year again (or Loserpool's of course - nah - just kidding - sorry

The Man City fan club has just doubled.

Have you come to your senses for next season and bought a S/T at St Marys ? or are you going to carry on being a silly billy going up and down the M6 in those LUXURY coaches ?

It was amazing how many people supported Liverpool two weeks ago

Posted on: 18 May 2014 by sjbabbey

Perhaps you should start up a Champions League thread and see if any Liverpool fans contribute.

Good idea. Sadly I think they might pre-qualify for the group stage but I would be surprised if they don't slip

Posted on: 18 May 2014 by sjbabbey

Hmm,

Leaving prejudice aside (if possible) given Liverpool's long absence from the CL they will obviously not be seeded and could face a difficult task to qualify for the latter stages. However, if they do strengthen their squad and get a favourable draw for their group, I believe they could progress beyond the group stage.

Posted on: 19 May 2014 by Chris Dolan

What do you mean they won't be seeded? They've won it 5 times. Surely not another travesty?

Richard

If by the end of today you dont get any objections please can you stick one of your padlocks on this topic.

Steve has now started one for the 2014/5 season so i suggest you all now post on that.

Thanks

Yet to decide who I will be supporting - it depends on whether Mata and De Gea are in the final Spain 23.

I think that it might be the Dutch

Mista H - I think you're being a bit premature here - the league play-off finals are still to come and the little matter of the Champions League final.
