I don't know why but that made me smile!

i have never been disappointed with any of your recommendations John. Where would one start with Nic Jones?

Hi Gary,

'Penguin Eggs' (1980) is probably a good place to start. It's freely available on CD, but unfortunately, some of Nic's early albums are not - or seem to have had small production runs, making them collectible/expensive.

The vinyl is out there though!

Enjoy.

Also "Unearthed" and "Game, Set, Match" on CD. He was also in The Halliard - "The Last Goodnight".

I received a copy of Unearthed today, and it came with a handwritten note from Julia and Nic. A very nice touch, I thought.

I bought it from Mollie Music, via good old Amazon. Boring, but effective.

An intriguing programme, wonderful guitar playing. Such a shame about the accident.....

Thanks for that John, what a fascinating story. I can't believe I (we) have never heard of him, or even seen any of his albums.

Good that he still has his life, and family with him and is still making music and inspiring so many old and new.

Thanks for posting John. A fabulous heartfelt program about a wonderful man & musician.

I liked it so much I've ordered Penguin Eggs & Blight & Blossom by Blair Dunlop on vinyl.
