Rush - the movie

Highly recommended, and well worth the big screen experience for the noise and action.
You don't have to be an F1 fan to enjoy this movie. I saw the trailer last time I was in the UK and went to see the film Tuesday while on a flying visit. Anyone can make a good trailer I guess, but in this case the film lives up to it, and more. All the reviews seem to agree.
It's (beautifully) shot a little like it was filmed at the time - saturated colour and grainy - so that they can splice in some original footage, completely seamlessly. The acting is first-rate. I think the chap who plays James Hunt is originally Australian or something, but he carries off the vocal side of things perfectly and captures the character well. However the actor who plays Lauda puts in an astonishing performance all round. He played the young German war 'hero' in Inglorious Basterds, and was also in Goodbye Lenin! (Knew I recognised him). Riveting performance.
Ron Howard seems to manage to imbue factual stories where you know what happens with an edge of the seat excitement - really is a great achievement, and this is no exception.
