MQn- Just Good Music

Posted by: cvrle on 24 September 2013

I was a very happy user of JRiver (V19), until I was suggested by a friend of mine who uses JPlay in 2-computer set-up, to try MQn player. He heard of it, but he was too busy to give it try.

I wouldn't even call it player, it is very "low level" windows program which sends magic bit stream to the DAC from memory of your PC. I was shocked what I was getting out, last night. I have never heard anything closer to analog sound, beside vinyl, including my CDS1, I used to owe.

I knew that V1/100 is fantastic combo, but I felt last night that I spent way more money for my system.

I am wondering if anybody from this forum played with Mqn yet, it is worth it, believe me. It takes some "computer skills" to make it work, but results are amazing.

I'm not sure if I could post the link to the guy's blog, but if you search by the topic title, you should be able to find it. The necessary programs and short guide is posted on his Google drive.

Have fun, whoever wants to try it.
