Samsung CDRW with unitiqute?

Since my CD player/recorder in my laptop broke I bought a stand alone samsung cdrw that plugs into my laptop via USB, I use this to import CDs into iTunes only.

If needed, could I play an audio cd with this through the unitiqute's front USB for the odd occasion?

Don't think so. I think the Qute sees things plugged into the USB as storage media and looks for a folder structure.
