App updates

Just noticed new updates.
N serve version 2.7 with ios7 fix
N stream version 3.5
Happy downloading
I have an old iPad with version iOS 5.1.1.
Presumeably there is little to be gained from me updating?
Peter
I use an original ipad 1 and it is not upgradable, apple appear to not support ios updates on the original
Just noticed new updates.
N serve version 2.7 with ios7 fix
N stream version 3.5
Happy downloading
I have n-Stream 3.5 running on both a 3rd gen iPad (IOS 7.0.2) and a 4th gen iPod (IOS 6.1.3) and have had no problems so far.
Seems a lot more reliable now. It was almost unusable before for me due to the upnp discoverability issue. Happy days!
What's New in Version 3.5
- Fixed: Failure to discover UPnP servers.
- Fixed: CD system automation would not work if CD was configured on ext pre or DAC input
- Fixed: Sluggish behaviour on FM input when scrolling radio text shown
- Fixed: Crash when UPnP trying to play or create playlist from a folder containing image files
- Fixed: Crash when indexing files with corrupt characters in filename
- Fixed: iOS7 web links do not work
- Fixed: iOS7 Crash when playing a single track from an album (UPnP)
Cbr600. Thanks - thought not.

Yay -- "Play this track" is fixed on nStream for me. I can now play individual tracks w/o the app crashing. This WAS a problem on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7, but is now remedied.

I think you can upgrade it via itunes, that's what I did no I have iOS7 on ipad.
Mine upgraded in the background, seems to be working OK - thanks guys.
Just listening to some newly acquired Russell Malone - really superb stuff!!

The n-Stream upgrade seems to be fine - you can leave the n-Stream , read Email, open Safari etc. on the iPad (Mini running iOS7), return to the application and it is still connected to the uPnP server, not just for the track playing but the directories for other Artists/Albums. So that's my issue hopefully sorted.
Seems more stable and responsive overall too - but that's just an observation, nothing imperial.
Many thanks to Naim for the update.
Simon.
This is becoming a real pain.
Iphone 5, ios7
Naim Forum app hasn't worked for me for a while now. I noticed it after updating to iOS 7 but I'm not sure if it worked even before that.

This pretty much gave me the answer.

Tog I updated my iPad 2 to iOS 7 and I do not find it sluggish at all.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and you will find it. (I believe that's right . . . from memory as I've already done the update and some stuff did move around!)
Upgraded, seems solid with no issues, but then I never experienced the reported problems.
Updated iPad 3 (iOS 7.0.2) and iPhone 4s (iOS 7.0.2) to nStream 3.5. iOS 7 web links do work now!
No side effects noticed so far. Streamer firmware version: V3.21.
Thank you, Naim, for providing this update so fast!

Hurrah, I can now change album art, should the need arise. Thanks Naim!

Hi Tog,
yes it's definitely a bit sluggish. Not a major problem but its obvious that everything is happening a little more slowly... Btw the IOS7 upgrade is a 900mb download.
i find the new icons quite hideous but I suppose that's just a matter of taste.
I don't really need any of the new IOS7 features and would be very happy to go back to 6.1.3 - s
eems to be a case of changing things for the sake of it...
The updated nStream was a bit alarming. It would only play one track, and then stop. And the 'now playing' screen was blank. Killing the app made no difference. So I deleted and reinstalled the app, but it could not find the streamer. I then turned the SuperUniti off and on again, and normal working is restored. I was worried for a moment.....

On rips, but not on stuff in the downloads folder. The latter still needs some attn. But I just do it from Finder on my mac -- maybe easier than from an iDevice anyway.
I only have one download, from Naim. The art has never worked. I need a folder apparently, which is beyond me. Still, it sounds good, but for £18 I expect it to work seamlessly. With 1 download and 2035 CD rips, the album art fix is sufficient reason to be cheerful!
This update has resolved the issue with not being able to select an individual track or queue tracks. It's also remedied the problem with FM tuner and input selector. Using an iPhone 5 / iOS 7.
