N-stream not showing internet stations

Posted by: Stephen John on 11 October 2013

N-stream via my iPad is not showing internet stations although preset stations are Visible.Any ideas?  Also, stations seems to be acquired more slowly than normal, and BBC R4 does not connect at all, although it was okay a couple of days ago. Feedback on these issues would be appreciated.  Thank you.

n-Stream here shows the station listing fine. However, the connecting takes exceptionally long time (at least it feels like that — never actually clocked it) but I can connect even to BBC R4. Maybe you need to restart your equipments or just try again a bit later. There seems to have been a fair amount of problems with iRadio lately though which of course is not good.

Same here - no Naim choice etc., just the two presets I have set so far. Annoying. Using an IPOD touch.

Same here - station list empty. I've emailed Naim support.

Can see my presets only, but it changes between them v slowly and some eg Radio Paradise won't play.

Shame as until now it has been perfect.

Looks like an iRadio issue maybe -- the website is slow too.  I think it's a network issue at the source, not some nStream issue with the app on the iDevice.

EDIT -- The website is now down, showing the same error message as seen last week (2 weeks ago?) when it was down.

iRadio seems to be back. Since this appear to be a recurring problem somekind of explanation from vTuner (Naim) would be nice or even in order.

Had a reply from support - do a factory reset with internet unplugged then plug router/modem back in.

Lost my presets but internet radio is back and working as it should.

Might be a standard response from the support. However, I doubt there was anything wrong with your equipment — instead the problem was at vTuner's end. I went for a walk for awhile and when I came back everything was working just fine. I didn't even switch off - on my Uniti as I sometimes do when a problem arise.

Just saw this thread......

Like Osprey, my iRadio signal came back, but has now gone again and all the stations with it.

See here....

I have no desire to reset the unit unless I know I absolutely have to.

My stations just vanished again, and I had to do 2 further resets to get them back. The reset procedure does seem to kick start something.

Clearly a few of us are having issues. I'm in contact with naim support about it.

Reply from Naim support is that they think it's something Virgin (my internet provider) are doing that causes vtuner to disappear. They are making enquiries.

Well, I'm based in Dublin using UPC and I had it back for about 30 minutes. Went again less than 5 minutes ago.

Nothing to do with Virgin, I presume?

I doubt it has much to do with the ISP of choice. Mine is DNA-Welho (Finland) and I have also had problems this afternoon. All working fine though at the moment.

Had this issue last night, N-stream just shut down (twice) when I tried to get the station list to display & then just a blank page with only my presets visible...

Working now, but has been in and out a few times this morning.

What is going on here? (In the broader web space, that is.) It's 2013 for heaven's sake!
