Naim Choice blank on NDX

Anyone else having issues with Naim choice being empty on  their NDX. I also cannot play my one stored preset station which was Radio Paradise 320K stream.

Tried rebooting the NDX and it can access all other internet radio streams other than Naim choice.

My HDX can access Naim choice and play radio paradise 320k stream.

I have exactly the same problem right now as well as other issues with iRadio reliability (explored on another recent thread.

I reported this to Naim and received lengthy replies about how this was due to the internet and not their problem 

My view is that if their product depends on an external service such as Vtuner they are responsible for keeping the provider up to scratch.

Agreed - I also have a large Sonos system which uses Tunein rather than Vtuner and I cannot remember the last time I had a problem with Internet radio on my Sonos system. It really does spoil the whole experience that one seems to have recurrent problems with Naim software (or software providers they have decided to use)

I have managed to get Radio Paradise 320K working on my NDX now by going into the naim vtuner portal and adding the 320K stream to my list of added stations. Naim's choice is still empty on my NDX.

While accessing the Naim Vtuner website I came across a number of bugs - for example if you ask the website to list stations by fastest speed it does not work properly - again this just smacks of sloppiness and no testing.

Same problem on my Naim ND5-XS. Naim's choice has been empty for the last day or so. I have not been able to listen to BBC R3 HiDef. Very annoying. Naim need to come down heavy on VTuner.

Is it possible to simply add that station as a preset, and not rely on the 'Naims Choice' list being available to listen to it?

vTuner is an internet service that Naim and others use. If there is a problem, it lies with them. Other manufacturers use other services such as TuneIn (Linn), so Naim are not alone in their use of a third party to provide this service.

I dont think ALL stations are working. I've got eg Radio 3, Paradise and Naim's 320k feed on presets. They don't work, and it can't find them elsewhere. I can get low res R3, but it's pretty poor.

Same problem on Unitiqute2.  Thought there was a problem with the unit as I have only just bought it and everything was fine a week ago!  Absolutely nothing now from "Naim choice".  Hope Naim get to grips with this ASAP as it is a great feature but seriously annoying that it seems unreliable.

Just tried to listen to radio Paradise and failed. Other stations work. Naim's Choice, however, is blank. Power cycling my device,which is an Uniti from 2010 with fw 3.22, did not solve the problem.
Is this problem related to vtuner or rather to the user?

Naim's Choice is down - I guess its a network problem & it will be back sometime soon

Maybe a Naim factory peep can let us know

OK, this answers my question!

 

It cannot be an internet or network problem as the internet is designed to re-route traffic.  So VTuner must be down.  I did a trace route of the IP and it stops somewhere in the US.

Same here, no Radio Paradise or Naim Radio, other stations work well...
