Upgrading to 3.22 superuniti & 1.7a US...rocket science?

I do not have the time to upgrade every time it is a new version. But when I do it does feel like you need to be working as a PC-professional to find drivers etc. to the mini-usb etc etc.

Anyways here are my questions to my Naimfriends

1) Can I upgrade directly from 3.17 to 3.22

2) Can I go directly from 1,6b to 1.7a on the unitiserve?

3) The driver to the mini-usb is that windows 64 or 86 or both I should download from Silabs?
