Help getting to grips with n-stream

Posted by: martinb2444 on 26 November 2013

Sorry to be such a dumbo but is there a help file anywhere for n-stream.  I've just bought an NAC-n 172xs and am successfully streaming from a QNAP server.  Have got n-stream on an ipad and it is talking ok to the streamer.  I would like to be able to sort the track order as they appear on the album rather than alphabetically and at the moment it won't play the whole album, I have to select track by track.  Some tracks occasionally finish prematurely. I'd love to be able to fast forward through a track skip to a point further in but can't get n-stream to do this.   I've searched for n-stream in the search box but get "no result".  Could someone direct me to the right place?!

Martin

PS this streamer with an NAP200 and Spendor A6s has brought one big smile to my face.  My old Thorens 316 deck has been transformed

Would this be something to do with uPNP compatibility mode in nStream? I've not had occasion to fiddle about with it but it seems familiar. Might be worth a Google.

Hi this is to do with the server not nstream.

nstream can only display what its given.

in the qnap log into the twonky server and check settings in there. If it still fails to read properly how did you rip the music files?

Thanks for the replies.  I don't seem to be able to bring up settings specific to the TwonkyMedia server from within QNAP.  If I bring it up from within windows it opens under Windows Media Player and I can set some options there.

Given that it is related to the server settings I'll keep trying there.

And after that, eventually, you'll get rid of Twonky.  That seems to be a fairly common approach here.
