Power Line on Unitiserve?

Posted by: Russ on 26 November 2013

I know I have seen something on whether there is any improvement effected with this combo--somewhere, but I am simply unable to find where I may have seen it.  Any info?

Thanks,

Russ

The mains lead supplied with the UnitiServe incorporates a filter to stop noise from the supplied SMPS entering the mains. You'd therefore be unwise to replace that lead with a Powerline. What you can do, which I wholeheartedly recommend, is to buy a bespoke linear power supply for it. Look in my profile and you'll see details.

You could use a Powerline with this power supply, which I have not had the opportunity to try, though I'd be very interested in the results should anyone else have given it a go.

I have. Slightly better. If you already have a PL "left over" its recommended, otherwise not (price/performance ratio).

Im sure a lot of people here can explain why that is impossible (improvement) but Im also sure they haven't tried for them selves.

Maybe Im just getting cynic...

Jonas, i would not think you to be cynical, just that you have a feeling of 'déjà-vu' I suspect !

Thanks very much, all.  Halibut--your post reminds me that what you say pretty much was what I read before.  Good to know.

Best regards,
