Supernait av connection

hi

I've just purchased a supernait mk 1 and I am looking to integrate it into my av set up. I believe I can only use the av input for unity gain and then only via the din socket. I don't have any phono to din leads and I am looking in the short term at buying an adapter to link my Rotel processor to the SN. Would the Milty CC121 adapter work in this scenario? I am just unsure when I look on line whether it is designed to push the signal from the phono into the Din or whether it's designed to push the signal out into the phono? Would it allow me to link the SN via the unity gain av input?

thanks Jamie

The advantage of using an AV (unity gain) input is that you don't have to remember to reset your Supernait volume control to the same setting when using it in a 5.1 etc set up.  There is no reason otherwise I can see that you couldn't just integrate it using the any of the other analogue inputs.  That would be the cheapest interim solution until you get yourself a suitable RCA>DIN lead for the ideal method as I describe in my FAQ on Stereo/AV interconnection (in the FAQ section of these forums)

Thanks john. I actually set up my supernait yesterday and was suprised to find out that the unity gain works on the phono inputs on the av socket anyway. It integrated easily so I am up and running. I will consider a phono to din later to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks
