Ronnie Biggs checks out

What great PR for the latest great train robbery story due to start tonight on TV. Biggs liked to court the press in his time. Don't you think it's ironic he checks out now?

Well he lived 50 years longer than the poor train driver he murdered.

He was a turd. Considering what some of the other famous people who've died in the past few days - Joan Fontaine, Peter O'Toole, Errad al-Sarraj, Ray Price, Kate Barry, Mandela - have contributed to the world, Biggs would be found severely wanting.

There was no murder and Biggs did not hit the driver anyway...

He was there, and didn't stop the assault. And he stole other people's money.

Yes, he was a thief.

Good riddance.

He lived a full and 'exotic' life whereas the driver, Jack Mills, never came to terms with what happened and died a few years later. The fact that Jack Mills wasn't murdered is not the issue here, it's the appalling celebrity status that Biggs has somehow managed to enjoy, while an ordinary working bloke had his life ruined by Biggs' actions.

A low life egotistical opportunist who only returned to this country when he needed free medical care.

So the driver didn't die on the night.....................

Nor the night after that etc...No one was charged with murder because there was no murder. Jack Mills died years later of leukaemia.
