UnitiQute2 HTTP, Firmware Version Doesn't Update

Posted by: Sorren on 27 December 2013

Hi Everyone

I have a question which I hope someone can answer. It isn't a show stopper, it doesn't even have an effect on the function of the Qute it's just, strange.

When I connect to the Qute using my browser (http://192.168.1.11/index.asp) I get the following information on the front page:

Connection Status:connected, BSS
Signal Strength:not available
Wireless Channel:not available
Firmware Date:2013-08-28
Firmware Version:2.0.50.12943

This is despite updating the unit to 3.22 successfully a couple of evenings ago (confirmed by checking on the Qute's front panel). Even before the update the firmware wasn't 2.0.50.12943

though this is what the unit has always displayed.

As I say it has no effect on my enjoyment of the Unitiqute which I am thrilled with it just seems strange that it doesn't update.

I had never thought to connect to my Qute2 with a browser, so I tried.  I see the same thing with mine, which I definitely updated to 3.22 many weeks ago.  It must be some bug where the browser interface doesn't see the right info(??)

Hi Bart

Maybe it's a feature they planned to offer and then decided not to continue, just forgot to turn it off. They don't make a big thing of the HTTP connection in the manual so it looks feasible. Maybe even designed to offer other features further down the line.

Hi Rembrand, that sounds more than likely.
