New Unitiqute2

I'd like to ask a couple of questions about UQute2.

When I change stations in iRadio the device cannot grab 320k streaming hosts (Naim, R Paradise, Linn). When I stop connecting and perform a power cycle, it holds on (OK at a 90% success rate) to pre-selected station with full buffer level. It is connected to a decent Netgear router via Cat6 cable. I have 100 Mb broadband. I observed that it runs on 3.21 fware, strange as I got it from a very recently arrived batch at my AD. Can this "old" firmware be the culprit?

Other thing that I noticed is about Naim logo. When I switch off UQ2 the logo very quickly goes off and come back before it fully goes out. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

Hi There,

Even with a high-speed connection you are not always guaranteed a stable connection with internet radio. Where are you in the world? This can have a huge impact on ping time, which is the real killer with iradio. Also, Naim streamers don't have a particularly large buffer over ethernet. Try switching to wireless, there's a much larger buffer. Either that or pick up a Serve and enable internet radio via UPnP, as the Serve has even greater buffering capabilities.

I am stationed in Hong Kong. I thought wired connection might give me more stability but I'll try wireless. Thanks again.
