NDS and 'Qutes

I recently purchased a NDS, which I am breaking in with a loop of random music from a QNAP (running Twonky). This works well and I am still discovering my music collection. However, I now can't access my music from my 'Qutes (bedroom, study and kitchen). This has happened a lot over the holiday period and my only solution is to "reboot" the 'Qutes. The response to this procedure is "streamer not responding". Its just getting very boring ...

Any ideas ... before I spoil my retailers's christmas?

I have both a Qute and an NDS on my home network. I do rarely get that message in nStream on my iPhone. Typically I just 'kill' nStream and reload it and it works fine. I've never had to reboot either the NDS or Qute due to network issues. I chalk it up to wonky device discovery on my home network, but I am not 100% sure of that.
