Another group that I have completely missed over the years.

Classic 1960s/1970s British blues with a rocky edge. The line-up changed a lot over the years. I can recommend Street Corner Talking as a good place to start.

steve

They produced a lot of fun album covers...

Hi Howard,

The track you heard is off the Raw Sienna album written by Chris Youlden.

I have most of their LPs and the first 5 albums are, for me, the best. These are Shake Down, Getting To The Point, Blue Matter, A Step Further and Raw Sienna. All but the first have Chris Youlden on vocals, and he wrote much of the output. Shake Down and Blue Matter have recently been reissued on vinyl and are pretty good and a lot cheaper than buying originals. Of the later albums, after Chris Youlden left, the best of the rest are Hellbound Train, Looking In and Street Corner Talking.

Vinyl.

This is - so far - the record that has improved the most from cleaning on my RCM - and using Steve J's recommended cleaning solution.

I am - in contrived and probably fatuous footballer-style speak - superlunerated

Personally I preferred their first album. Michael Tarbox also has two solo discs out himself.
