BTO. Not Fragile from 1975. I'm comparing two pressings with different mastering, both on Mercury vinyl. Kendun versus Masterdisk JS. I prefer the Masterdisk and find it to be more dimensional, with better dynamic range and a bit more bottom. Kendun has a sweet shine on the top end.

Looks like Rain Again  Playing this track to show solidarity with all the people suffering in the floods.

"Louisiana 1927" is a 1974 song written and originally recorded by Randy Newman on is album Good Old Boys. Telling the story of the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 that left 700,000 people homeless in Louisiana & Mississippi.

'What has happened down here is the winds have changed

Clouds roll in from the north and it started to rain
Rained real hard and it rained for a real long time
Six feet of water in the streets of Evangeline

The river rose all day
The river rose all night
Some people got lost in the flood
Some people got away alright
The river have busted through clear down to Plaquemines
Six feet of water in the streets of Evangelne

Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tyrin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away

President Coolidge came down in a railroad train
With a little fat man with a note-pad in his hand
The President say, "Little fat man isn't it a shame what the river has done
To this poor crackers land."

Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away'

5'll Getcha Ten

A vinyl rip. Classic Boyer and Talton.

For those who don't know who they are Duane Allman discovered them and rumour has it he banged on their door in the middle of the night to ask them to play him some songs. He then got them signed to Capricorn and the rest is history.

Theirs is the original version of Please Be With Me which Clapton recorded for 461 Ocean.

Should have been much bigger than they were.

I know Steve J is not convinced by the SQ of this recent vinyl reissue. However, to my ears it sound v good especially against my early 70s CBS copy .
