Its a good album Steve and I love the mad intros on the first songs on both side. It's an original mono and great fun to listen to. Mad, mad, mad...

The first Blood Sweat & Tears album is very similar, another of Al Kooper's projects.

I played that album a couple of months ago Steve when you played one of their other albums. It's their best IMHO.

Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band    "SHINY BEAST (BAT CHAIN PULLER)"   Virgin cd, more insane melodic stuff.

BS&T were a different group after Al Kooper but I still like the Dave Clayton Thomas period.

It was REM Murmur on vinyl, but now David Bowie, Aladdin Sane.

Why can't you post album covers from an i-Pad ?

Philips, Steve?

It was released in 1971 Tony after they stopped printing Phillips on the label. It's an A1/B1 pressing.

Thanks,  Steve. I know the Philips pressings of certain bands are the "true" and rarer first pressings but I do not know this particular band.  Thanks for that.

Cheers

Hi Larry,
I'm listening to it now on Xbox radio. Very nice, mellow so far. How's the vinyl? Supposed to pick mine up on Friday.

Hello Joe,

The vinyl is180gm and dead flat, sounds great. This could be another Beck classic like Seachange.

Hope you enjoy yours,

Larry

I streamed the whole album last night. The music is wonderful, dreamy. A classic, as you say. An upbeat song or two would have been nice, but that's just a matter of my own tastes. It's a great LP and I'm excited to hear the vinyl. Cheers!

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart:  William Youn (Piano)

Klaviersonate in E flat major, K 282
Klaviersonate in A minor, K 310
Klaviersonate in C major, K 330
Klaviersonate in B flat major, K 570

In a messed up world there still is Mozart.  He had so much to say yet he remained clear, concise, and really quite minimalistic throughout.  Sometimes this is quite pleasing to reflect on just the essentials.

Doug, I am putting on some Mozart as well.
