Joe,

I've been listening to Robert's music for a few years but I do not think his music is as much appreciated here on this side of the atlantic as it is in yours.

KR

Tony

Your right Tony he ain't popular here. His best selling album here was Don't Be Afraid followed by Midnight Stroll and the only other album of his that charted since Rainy Morning is Nothin But Love.

Funnily enough he doesn't trouble the US Billboard main charts much either as his last album that got into them was Take Your Shoes Off and that only made a lowly 183.

He regularly does well in the US blues chart where his albums always make the top ten.

Agreed, Ewe,

I try not to gage someone's talent by their position in the  "charts". The Grammy's, check history,  is no indicaction either of international recognition.

Tony

The same sentiments Tony here otherwise I wouldn't be listening to most of the music I do. Have a good day.

White vinyl LP, arrived today.

No step up in SQ from the much-circulated bootleg tape, but a great performance from the very start of Zep's career, and quite a nice thing to have in the collection...

After Dark 2

Some beautiful music from the ‘Italians Do It Better’ stable.  If you like electronica, thrumming bass lines and icy female coos then this is for you.

Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Akjt-RuNc6U to get a better idea.

It's Maurice Ravel's birthday today, and BBC Radio 3 has cleared the schedules for a Ravel Day.

Already heard much stunning music, so this is where think I shall be for the next 12 hours or so
