I have had an irresistible compulsion to play "In Search Of Space" by the Hawks on cd.

Hi Char

Good advice

I am unfortunately immune to your addiction as I don't have the album at the moment. I saw Hawkwind live quite a few years ago though on three consecutive nights and each time it was like a completely different concert. Not many bands you can say that of.

Supported by "Dumpy and his Rusty Nuts" if I remember correctly, ah happy days

"Strjon" album on vinyl  from the "Solidification" box set by the remarkable Arve Henrickson. Seems to fit perfectly with the mood of this particular morning.

I shouldn't be too hard on Richie. Truth be told he still makes a lot of folks happy. My son and I have enjoyed Ringo in concert twice together. He is still savvy enough to surround himself with an "All Star Band" and actually puts on a very tight performance now in his early 70's. But as far as making any new LPs , well, ........

And this solo LP, from 1973, is actually very, very good...

Indeed. I can't immediately google the reference, but I recall that Ringo sold more LPs than any of his former bandmates in the first three or so years after their break up. He's sold a surprising number of records as a solo act!

On Spotify, I didn't know of this album until I saw SteveJ's post 'tother day.

Not a bad album though , better than Fragile? Not so sure of that. SQ seems a bit muffled.

Sylvian and Czukay, "Plight & Premonition" on CD for a contemplative morning mood:

I'm sure the muffled sound is due to listening on Spotify. It sounds good on vinyl. Do you want me to look out for a copy?

I didn't realize they had a new album out.  How does it compare with the rest of their catalogue?  Recommended?

Thanks,

How are you liking your Cisco reissue?

It is my favorite of the copies I have. I have the MOFI and a recent Japan reissue.

I haven't listened to this in a long while. It's the double album which comprises the original UK album (disc1), and "The Grass is Greener" US album (disc2) compiled from tracks that were recorded as soon as Clem Clempson joined the band.
