Just played the first side of David's new LP. Wonderful singing & tunes, augers well for the rest of the tracks. Side 4 has two tracks cut @ 45 rpm, so looking forward to that. The download card provides wav files which surprised me.

Always had a soft spot for their 3 albums. John Townsend had a great soulful voice and now has a band with Dan Toler ex of the Allman Brothers.

@ewemon,

There's a lot of guttural emotion packed into that LP, isn't there. My brother and I listened to it a lot on 8-track driving to high school together. Congers up strong memories of the teen years. I think it's Bruce's best.

Would totally agree with you Joe. I was going through a kinda rough point in the music biz and for some reason that album struck a chord with me and kept me going. It made me feel that there would be something better coming my way if I just kept going and it did.

On a lighter note if you want to hear it without all the untamed top end bag a copy of the Japanese 1st pressing on cd.

Due out in April. Trax listing below. As usual you get hits and misses on these types of albums and for me the Indigo Girls just don't cut it.

Shawn Colvin sings Call it a Loan solo with no band.
