A recently released compilation of remastered tracks from Stacey Kent's Candid albums. Ideal for those late night listening sessions when the lights are low. Excellent support from husband Jim Tomlinson's Stan Getz inspired tenor saxophone.

How are you liking your Cisco reissue?

It is my favorite of the copies I have. I have the MOFI and a recent Japan reissue.

It's been a while since I listened to the Aja but recently someone sent me the link to Fremer's claiming that later Steely Dan/Greatest Hits US pressing sounds better than both the Cisco and original issue.

That *rumor* has been around for a few years and actually I bought the Greatest Hits LP a long time ago to compare but never bothered to listened to it. For one thing it's remastered by different engineer so I'd expect it would sound different.

I agree that the original MOFI Aja pressing was poor with that lumpy pondering bass with smilely EQ.

Anyways, I am going to compare them when I am feeling up for a repetitive listening of *PEG*

I have a first press of Aja. I have not compared it to tracks from Greatest Hits back-to-back. But off the top of my head I'd have to say there is not a notable difference in SQ between the LPs. As a compilation, the Greatest Hits tracks sound relatively balanced to me and not lacking in soundstage or dynamics from the original LPs, though I don't have them all.

I shall have to get my camera out to photograph my own copy. The Amazon site photos are dreadful - as is the price !

Ah, Christmas, you've just got to love it...

B.B. King

10 CD boxed set of B.B. King's life's work.

Did you know, he's even learned to play the electric guitar?  He shows promise, that lad.  Might be a star one day if he keeps working at it.

Marvellous & recommended for fans of blues guitar music with real feeling.

Best regards, FT
