And if I may be forgiven for commenting on my own post, now that I am finished listening to it, I have to say this is one of the most well produced albums I have - positively excellent, the speakers really did disappear.  Kudos to Walter Becker who produced it.

@DrMark,

You are forgiven . I'll keep an eye out for this one. Thanks for the recommendation.

This was their reissue cover after their mega hit 'smoke from the distant fire'.

Trying out a HiCap DR on a Stageline N. Impressive switch over from Chrome Bumper Hicap.

Kuma,

I have a new HCDR not yet used and would like to try it on my Stageline N. If you care to exchange thoughts my email is in my profile .

Delicious!

started where I ended, gentle and natural...

same pieces than Uchida before. Uchida gives you the impression of walking into a Zen Monastry (beauty / silence) Le Sage gives the impression of children playing outside while they are not yet fighting, joyfull/gentle..... That's how I would compare them both. And I like both the CD's a bit tending to the Uchida execution...

Nothing like some French chamber music on a bright Sunday morning, is there?

So this, on vinyl, from 1989:

Recorded after 'Pirates' this is a wonderful series of live and studio outtakes. The Japanese CD pressing has the most magnificent clarity and dynamics of any CD I've heard.

Listening to 'Letters from the 9th Ward - Walk Away Rene' and the palpable emotion gets me every time.

Anyone tried the hires downloads from qobuz?  I have this, 'Close to the Edge' and '90125' as ripped CDs.  What else is the best of the Yes offerings?

Thanks, Kuma. We went to hear him play solo last season and it was a treat. I am thinking of Nikolai Lugansky this season.

Couldn't agree more Graeme - I love this disc - we used to use it for Naim demos when I worked at the audio shop.  I also really like her version of 'Under the Boardwalk' from this disc.
