Hi Stevee_S

I got it from HD Tracks, I also got Tormato. They definitely sound a lot better than the standard CD rips.

I only managed to get a few from HD tracks before the block came down on buying from the UK.

Hi Sorren

If you have Damnation and Heritage I would try and listen to this first it's very different from them. Very heavy with growl vocals.

I Know, it's annoying. Virtually all the albums I see which I might want are not available in the UK. On the plus side I could download quite a few I don't actually want

I have Heritage. Looks like I'll have to move this one up my 'to buy' list. The UQ2 has certainly increased my desire to listen to new music

Paul Simon - Graceland

Whilst it has a lot of death vocals, this album also has normal too. It is without doubt, probably Opeth's  finest moment and an album that I think is absolutely marvellous. It is a good step into their other world. Also look at Watershed too.

My old Friend the Blues................a real wrist-slasher. Often used by Linn when demoing their LP12 v Karik/Numerik in the early days of CD to "prove" there was no difference in perceived sound !!!!

On vinyl:-

Shelby Lynne - Tears, Lies and Alibis

Seems like a RT sort of evening, also on vinyl, 180gm Diverse Records version.

Great album, even with the growling vocals. I not a fan of growling vocals but I make an exception for Opeth because the music is amazing.

Happy New Year,
