It is quite good, isn't it.

it's good, Danger Bird is my favourite one on that,  Hawks and Doves is most likely my favourite album.

I saw Mr. Young play "Cortez the Killer" solo with blackie a few years back. This is easily my favorite NY song. At first I thought how is he going to pull this off playing solo. Only NY could.

Bishopla  the live rust version of Cortez sounds better than the Zuma version, I think.  It was never my favourite track as it is technically brilliant, but emotionally quite cold, to my ears anyway. I like the emotional warmth in Young's songs.

Char Wallah, I absolutely agree live rust version is better. It's just when I think of this song my knee jerk reaction is Zuma. Zuma is the album from I heard it first.

This evening has been a real Beethoven marathon. the Eroica [third] Symphony three times.

Erich Kleiber, Jos van Immerseel, and lastly the amazing Otto Klemperer in the mono EMI recording.

Only great music will stand such a recital as this.

Klemperer is great, far better than Immerseel, who himself, is better than than the veteran Kleiber, but each performance has its unique selling pint and is indispensable. Two of them from 1954 and one from the digital recording era ...

Indeed. It has got slightly mixed reviews but I got the feeling that it will be played quite a lot here at my place (playing now again).
