Hi Kuma,

Ps do you know if it's worthwile to get the SACD versions of some of the special cd's ?

Good isn't it? Did you buy the full set? I only bought 2 albums so far, Hotel California and The Long Run which isn't bad either

Hi Sorren,
Yes excellent, and yes I bough the whole 6 album set as it worked out $50.00 cheaper. Now looking at the whole Van Halen 1978-1984 set at 192/24.
Desparado sounds good also and The Long Run, very happy with these so far.
Genesis Revisited: Live at Hammersmith [Box set]
Steve Hackett | Format: Audio CDRush. The only band to make me hang up my air guitar and sit down at my air drum kit . Alex Lifeson is brilliant but Neil Peart is phenomenal.
I'll always remember, my uncle is a die hard Classical buff but every time he came to visit when I was a kid I used to get requests for Rush.
On vinyl:-
One of Terry Wogan's favourites, and mine too
..and mine, Don. Eva had a wonderful voice and this album presents it beautifully

Nice story . Have you listened to the (Rhino) re-mastered box set of the studio albums 1989-2007?
Not my favourite Ray Lamontagne album but enjoyable and the track Shelter is a favourite.

Streaming disc 3 from a FLAC ripped CD box set
I picked up Moving Pictures, Farewell to Kings and 2112 over Xmas from Linn Records, thought Moving Pictures was the pic of the bunch. Hemispheres next. I've seen them on every tour since Signals and they just keep getting better
To relax to before dinner
Last four nights after work.
Mozart's Don Giovanni, Cosi Fan Tutti, Marriage Of Figaro, and last night, The Magic Flute.
The four great Mozart Opera recordings made with stellar casts and superb churus in the 1960s and early '70s with Otto Klemperer directing.
Amazing performances that show there is no reason to race to get humour, and yet patience actually increases the psychological tension!
Only the Flute still makes no sense as the story is simply a load of masonic mumbo jumbo, but the tunes and performance of them are riveting!
The three Da Ponte Operas are so much more involving with this degree of pointing of detail that, however, never intrudes on the steady narrative of human emotion and tragi-comedy that Mozart so understood in his setting of ultra-sensitive libretti.
This set is available for the astonishing price of about £2 per disc on EMI Classics from Amazon.
Even if you have other fine recordings of these, please do snap this up while it is still available, for less than price of one full priced CD.
ATB from George
PS: Tonight will be Klemperer's extra-ordinary performance of Handel's Messiah.

Hi Stevee_S. No I haven't heard it yet. I have from Fly By Night to Hemispheres in 24/96 and plan to upgrade bit by bit. Stunning sound
A WAV 24bit/48kHz download from the Naim label. I like the music but to be honest I don't think this hi-def download sounds any better than some of my well recored CDs.
