A quick clean on the Okki Nokki - and no that is not a euphemism - and ……. stunning …….

On vinyl, as is almost always the case....

Epic rock!
It is sad they could not sort out their personal differences. Too many egos. I do love Cornell's voice but his lyrics were weak and the only strong serious member of the band was Morello IMHO.
Good news is that they are back with their respective original bands. ![]()

Fully agree.. Am also a big fan of Tom Morello's soundtrack work on Iron Man (first one), before they discovered ACDC for the sequels...

I have no original to compare this reissue to but it sounds excellent to my ears! not lackluster at all. Hope this is helpful
ATB Graham.
Thanks Graham,
I only see 2014 release from the BGP Records, tho. I assume it's a digital remaster from the copy of the master. Interestingly that the Discog does not list the 2010 BGP reissue.
The US gatefold reissue I have is by the original label Flying Dutchman. (Stereo FD 10143). The entire record has a shouty spitty sibilance as if they put on a poor redbook CD onto a record.
Tony,
I bet the original sounds good but it's going for a silly $$. I have never seen this vinyl locally, either so this title remains elusive.
Leonard Cohen: Live Songs
Lou Reed: Berlin.
It's an uplifting sort of evening.

Never get on with Munch. I find Munch/BSO rhythmically dull and dated.
Nice cover art, tho.

Lenny/NYP's ravel is flashy and mid-century modern but illustrates the demented and sinister intro well. Overly exaggerated grotesque ending completes this garish little waltz. More Hollywood and not exactly a classy rendition but at least more fun to listen to than Munch set above.

Chris, glad to see you played some reggae last night and Signing Off is a classic. Nice one!
Richard

Joe Sample: Rainbow Seeker in original ABC Records US pressing.
- Mastered By – Bernie Grundman
- Mixed By – Rik Pekkonen
Waaaay better than awful MOFI reissue.

Haven't played this in years so thanks for reminding me Kuma to dig it out tonight.
More ear candy. ![]()

Pity that Pekkonen did not work on the Voices in the Rain. I don't know what MCA did but the product quality started to slide down really bad circa '80.
- Engineer – Greg Venable
- Mixed By – Galen Senogles
Starting the day with Donovan.

Not on this LP but "I could have tripped out easy but I'm changing my ways" as after this I am cutting the grass, trawling for LPs in York market then down to The Sound Org to see if my RCM has arrived yet. Then back home for an afternoon of some fine vinyl unless I decide to rebuild my Fraim stack.
Richard
The morning is in danger of drifting away.
I must stop listening to Donovan and get out to cut the grass!

What an exciting way to spend a day.

Hi kuma,
Sorry I should have added that I found this re-release [Stereo/ BGPHIQLP 007] via Amazon UK £12.75+ postage. Good luck with your search it will be worth it.
Graham.
Some great rare grooves on this offering. If your an old school 'jazz/funker' you should like this CD.
