I like looking through this but too many posters don't explain why anyone else should be interested. It's far more intriguing when people do say something about the music and its significance to the poster, or about why a particular version (vinyl/cd or original/reissue) is of interest.

The two versions of the song You Get Me on this CD are simply wonderful, the second featuring Buika just about shades the first. Holographic sound-stage, too. Great stuff.

Mainly I just look through my music and select something, I couldn't tell you why I selected a particular album apart from " I wanted to listen too it" , soon get boring that for you and me.
Recent CDs:-
Aimiee Mann - Lost in Space
Chris Rea - Auberge

Fancied something atmospheric and slow to round off the evening's listening. This CD is a first class recording, too

What I really like about this thread is how often it prompts me to play something I have, but which I'd overlooked when browsing my CDs, or even better, to buy something new. Discovered some great new music that way.
Good points MDS.

My perception is there is no reason for anyone to be interested ......... unless THEY choose to be. The original thread did not include that part of the thread title. That section of the title was added by one of the former moderators WHO NEVER CONTRIBUTED TO THIS THREAD in any way.
Some people choose to share their (often vast) knowledge on original posts. Others may not feel comfortable in trying to express that initially. Posts of covers only are like browsing in a record shop. If the person viewing HAS INTEREST in what they are seeing on the thread, they have many options. They could actually make the effort to go to a site such as Amazon, Discogs, Spotify, YouTube and read numerous reviews and cross references or google the artist and go to their individual websites.
Essentially they could show their interest in learning about the things they are exposed to. If they are eloquent, they could return to the thread and share that with the others. They could ask questions - I believe all the regular contributors here respond to any inquiries.
Or they could do what someone inevitably does every few months - post what their personal needs are and how the thread could better serve them.
Hope you find something to enjoy in your efforts.

The one and only Salsoul Orchestra. This original pressing from '77 sounds a lot better than digital remaster box set.

RIP Vince Montana jr. I love his groovy Firebird.

Rush. Signals. On vinyl from 1982. Stopped at a nice little shop in Pullman called "Atom Heart Music" and bought this. Not a helluva lot else happening on the Palouse.

Ha!! Ha!! I see someone is selling a used copy of this for over £2k on Amazon UK. God that means if he sells it I am worth over £6k. Mind you he is from Japan and it could be a translation issue.
Bert Jansch: The Black Swan because it is a nice start to a Sunday morning.
