Hi Pat,

I saw Allen & his fabulous band two weeks ago in London. It is amazing to witness a singer who has such a wide & dynamic vocal range and also remind you that soul & funk music isn't so bad after all

Even playing new songs from his Atlantic debut release, the young crowd sang back and I think, surprised Allen with their appreciation of his music. I highly recommend seeing Allen 'live', as the experience is far greater than what can be captured on the medium of your choice. As the son of a preacher man, Allen leads his congregation in song (and dance moves ) and your left with a big smile on your face for the journey home. That's what 'live' music is all about.

Amen

Hi Denis,

Thanks for sharing your experience.  Sounds like the show was very enjoyable!  I have not been able to see him live yet.  I'll need to keep track of his tour schedule.

Best regards,

Pat

It has just taken both my partner and myself back to when we saw LC in Birmingham on this very tour. Highly recommended if you are a fan of the sublime Mr C.

I picked this up from the local record store today - now playing. Excellent recording indeed, one really can feel the atmosphere of the concert (as much as it is possible through music replay). Thanks for the tip in the other thread.
