Enjoyable compromise. I bought this Hewitt recording after not being able to find Tharaud's discs of Chabrier which are out of print.
This, on BBC Radio 4 FM. Ideal accompaniment to a bit of housework:
BBC Legends: Great Recordings from the Archive
My musical focus is normally always set on instrumentalists (including voice) I thought this set was a fair compromise. With about 15 of the 20 discs I was interested in for my own purposes plus the balance being mostly conductors who I wanted to hear this set seemed like good value for me.
So far I've listened to Gilels and Fischer and look forward to Michelangeli, Kempff and Baker today. So far no disappointment with the music. The recording quality is not always up to par where I prefer it but I can overlook this aspect given the interesting programs offered here.

Haim the Tharaud ones are not out of print, I just recently got one and it's a delight. You still might want to look around for this one.
Another impressive debut, this time from Moetar - From These Small Seeds

Bert, where did you find it?
This might appeal to a few here - Kevin, Denis and the Chief. Nils Petter Molvaer and Moritz van Oswald - Norwegian trumpet, atmospherics and German electronics.

I'd forgotten how good this is and what a stellar recording it is.

Cardiff City v West Ham on BBC Radio 5 Live (DAB) while doing a mega-clean in the kitchen.
I await the inevitable tonking.
A little different from my usual listening material. Excellent sound!

Original Deram 1st press vinyl. Reminded to play this after listening to the Miller Anderson LP.

Thanks Adrian, I'll check it out. Just getting ready to see my first Thumpermonkey gig of the year and try out my new ear-plugs

Chilled techno beats from Berlin.....
I've seen this cover somewhere recently, so just looked it up and found a full stream on SoundCloud. Probably more suited to late-night listening, but I like.
Will investigate the NPM / MVO, thanks.
Just because it's mad and I like em!
This fabulous album is a 180gm vinyl reissue from Pure Pleasure records. both the music & SQ are sublime..
Pure Pleasure are one of the few who are purely analogue in production Graham. SQ of the PP LPs I've bought have been very good but I have had some problems with pressing quality.

Have you heard Suite London Dusty? Brilliant, and absolutely bonkers!
