Just finished Gotterdammerung (no umlaut on the iPad!) to complete my venture with this set this week. I have to say that I've enjoyed this set far more than at any time before although to be fair it is the first time playing it through the NDS as opposed to the CDS2. Stunning sound for a live Bayreuth recording and right now I'd say that this has gone to the top of the list of versions I have. Brilliant.

Next task will be to go back to Solti for aural calibration.

A really good album Jeff but I'm not sure how they are touring with it? It doesn't lend itself to stadium tours, despite the superb New York track.

Hi Gordon,

This is my third or fourth listen and it is growing on me.  Your suspicions about touring it may be correct but they do have a decent catalogue to draw from.  My particular favorite is "Build A Rocket Boys".  I don't get out to much live music anymore, unfortunately.  To balance that, I listen to the system more than ever.

Be well

Fancied a listen to Ray M.  A high quality CD this one, rather better than the hi-res download I played earlier this evening.
