Had a hankering to hear the greatest live band ever, in their pomp. So here are the mighty Zeppelin, on four CDs, recorded over two nights in LA on 21st and 22nd August 1971. The sound quality isn't audiophile of course, but who cares? The perfomances are AWESOME.

I agree Kevin. It's not like you tune out and ignore the music either but concentration on a parallel activity is possible somehow.

Normally I can't work to music (I usually work to Radio 4), I find it too distracting. But I CAN work to the Dead (and bootlegs by the likes of LZ and the Floyd).

An album of original Brasilian music centered around Brasilian percussionist Mauro who plays here with Brasilian guitarist & singer/songwriter Vinicius Cantuaria, actor/sax player John Lurie, guitarist Mou Brasil, Michael Leonhardt on trumpet & melodica, Paul Socolow: acoustic bass, and Caroline Leonhardt and Barbara, both on vocals. Most of the songs are by Vinicius who is very well known in Brasil for his work with Caetano Veloso. This is a modern collection of Brasilian tunes with strong influences from the sophisticated NYC music scene. (MA Recordings)
