Joe Bonamassa - Dust Bowl

Joe Bonamassa - Dust Bowl. One of the best blues albums I've heard, just love his style and the tracks 'The Meaning of The Blues' and 'Black Lung Heartache' are two of my all time favourites.

Just plain good music with a Latin beat that gets you moving.

Hi KK,

Thanks for posting your impression.  Looking forward to picking this up.

BR,

Pat

Spinning the vinyl right now, it is a great album at a good price and includes the CD as well.  Agree that this probably their best effort yet.  A must have album.

Some late night pop from the 80's

Posted on: 15 May 2014 by kuma

Thinner bodied than Rostropovich with a weepy tonal quality. Polished and smooth as most of modern reading. Somewhat academic but at least he's got a clear diction with a reasonabl stops and stars of note. Can't help thinking, however, it is wanting due to its even keel rendition. Harrell stays poker faced throughout. 1st movement cadenza is utterly lifeless. He makes even Muller-Schott a hot blooded and overly emotional.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Hard Promises. 2001 Remastered HDCD. Both this format and the original 1981 vinyl sound excellent.

Please don't mention the vinyl / cd package that is £17 on a certain website.  I paid £10 for just the CD - i hate it when they do that!  Next will be 45rpm version!

Yeah, the album for me is great.  On other forums there are people moaning about it's not like their old sound, they have changed too much etc - oh how i hate these comments!

Some of the funky bass lines and some of the solo work is great on this new album,  My favorite track is 'it's up to you now'.  There is the Junior K influence on this track or me which i really like.
