Sorry about that!  Hate it when people do that.  The band is alt-j. Have a listen to breeze blocks and that will give u a good feel for their sound.

This has to be one of the worst waveforms I have ever seen. New Oasis Deluxe release of Definitely Maybe.

Think the phrase missed a bit comes to mind.

@ Steve J.

Hi Steve. I have had a good listen to this over the weekend. I have to say I agree with you it gets better with each play. My first impression was that it sounded good if a little forward both on Bobs voice and the harmonica, particularly on ‘Like A Rolling Stone’. However, having asked my partner, who has not grown up listening to Bob her impression was that the guitar was a little forward but in keeping with the sound of the overall album. As you are no doubt aware there is a lot of discussion over on the Steve Hoffman forum as to exactly which source has been used. With Warner’s not prepared to say, I think it’s safe to say it’s not the original master tapes. Some people are even suggesting that the original tapes are in such a bad state that a digital source may have been used. That said, I am well pleased to have a good copy of one the best albums Dylan has ever made, at a good price thanks to you. So it gets a 7 out of 10.

Regards Graham.

On vinyl:-

JJ Cale - #8

Hawkwind "Codename Hawkwind / Cambridge - 71" , on cd. The last track "Came Home" appears as "We Do It" on "Friends and Relations" as I may have mentioned before; this is a long track and is very hypnotic, trancelike, it sounds like the very rhythmic "Seven Suns" from Astralasia's "Whatever Happened To Utopia" album was sampled from it.

Cool, i am seeing Jeff Beck in Manchester tomorrow.
